My buddy my buddy my buddy

This post doesn't really have much to do with that, but it made me think of it and then I had to go find it because I think that has to be one of the most memorable commercials of my childhood :)

So the real story :)

Last night I was getting K ready for bed and as I'm putting on his diaper he starts crying and saying "buddy budddyy" and continued to do this as I tried to get him into his PJs. I had no idea what he meant when he kept saying buddy so I just said "ok, as soon as you have your pjs on you can show me what you mean"

I put him down and he immediately runs to the bathroom yelling "buddy buddy!" and I realize he was saying "potty! potty!"

Now, we aren't potty training. We do have a potty in the bathroom and I've sat him on it from time to time and talked about the potty. One morning I put him on it when I'd had to wake him up and we sat and read a book and he peed. I was impressed. But, we aren't potty training, we're just trying to introduce the topic.

So I thought he just wanted to sit on the potty and I said ok. Then he started pulling off his PJ bottoms, so I helped, and took off his diaper. He climbed on and demanded a book. Ok... I got a book. And then, he peed!!!

HOLY COW!

I couldn't get over it. What kind of craziness is that? Will he ever do it again???? He probably won't, but man, it was very cool! :)
