Relaxing stuff

I made another tote bag! I think it's really nice - simple and nice. It has another flaw (pucker on top right corner you could probably see if you click on the photo) but it also has a funky lining with a pocket and everything.

I'm working hard on relaxing, but it's not as easy as it looks. After 4 work days off I barely feel like I've rested at all - how is that possible?! ;) Any good relaxation tips?

I spent a long time trying to think of ways to relax, and I couldn't. Sorry.
I don't think I even know the meaning of the word any more.
Just keep on taking it easy, I'm sure you'll figure it out before too long.

Here's what I would do. Go to the spa. Get a pedicure, have a glass of wine while being pampered. On the way home, stop at Starbucks for a Chai latte (I know you're not a fan, so maybe a steamed vanilla milk?) Come home, close the curtains in the living room, put on an Enya CD (or K's wave CD would work), turn off phone, turn off laptop, turn off tv, lay back on couch, close eyes, drink latte. Relax.

What you need to do is go on a long walk around your community all alone. No one to talk to, just let the wheels in your head spin and think and do all they need to do until they wear themselves out. Because you are walking you can't shift gears and actually start doing anything. You just have to deal with the thoughts, and keep walking. Then when you get home you will be physically exhausted from the LONG walk, and when you go to bed you will sleep like the dead because you are physically tired, and then when you wake up you will be refreshed and able to tackle some things that you thought about.
Make a list. Write down what you need to do, and what you want to do. Then you feel like you have some control because it's all down there, right in front of you. then you can parcel it off, and make an action plan. I know this doesn't sound too relaxing, but for me making lists is a great way to manage stress because it helps me feel in control. I can't just ignore things by picking up a magazine. Make sense?

I like the walk idea. I also like tv. I like baths. I like a good book. Writing things down helps me let go of them... you don't have to keep repeating them in your head trying not to forget it, or brooding about it. I also highly recommend naps.
