I honestly did know I had it good then

Kiernan walked at 10 months. But until then, he was barely mobile - a little bit of wall walking and that was it.

And then he started walking and people said "watch out!" and we got all this baby proofing stuff ready. And he never got into anything.

"Kiernan, don't touch the books on the bookcase" and he would veer off and do something else. He rarely pulled at cords or lamps. He didn't eat every single thing he saw.

So we stayed lazy, and there was still crap all over the floor all the time, and it wasn't a big deal.

And now we have TWO crawling babies. TWO babies who climb up and pull on things and rip things and pull down down books from book shelves, and eat any little thing they can find. They will wrench things off the walls, they will scootch under chairs to get at wires.

And they divide and conquer. "You go that way Quinn, I'll go over here. She can't stop us both at once!"

Thank GOD we moved and I have my playroom. But I do miss my TV a bit. Good thing I can bring my laptop with me when I am supervising ;) I mean, good thing I can get housework done while they are in the playroom and I am not down on the floor playing with them.

Your new playroom is awesome.

Jason and I are spoiled by Rhen because she is pretty much like Kiernan. Tell her once that something is off limits, and she moves on to something she knows she's allowed to play with.

I hope our own child is as easy to handle as our niece is, but I'm not counting on it.

We're getting ready to move and one of my "must haves" is a play area. Mine started walking at 10 1/2 months and she IS into everything. She knows "no" and will listen...sometimes. Other times, she walks right up to something she's not supposed to, waves her hand back and forth (her sign for "no"), and then does it anyway.

Little bugger. I'm convinced that's why God made babies so cute.

You're forgetting Kiernan's habit of going up to the living room lamps or the tall standing picture frames and shaking them saying "No no no no no no no" as they banged on the walls...

Both my kids put everything in their mouths. Glad that is over and my floor can be messy again! :-)

Hahaha, I love the divide and conquer part. I'm sure that won't be the first time they'll try it. Good thing you didn't end up with identical twins because then they really would be pulling the wool over your eyes ;)

I am all about the laptop, baby. Mama's BFF.
